Let the V Force be with you
I'm not a massive sticker fan as they tend to detract from the lines of the bike. This bike had quite a few Team Roberts LTD stickers all over her and although not terrible to look at, they didn't mean allot to me so had to go.
I was worried that the old stickers might damage the paint work when I tried to remove them but was relieved to see them wrinkle up and slide off with a bit of pressure using a finger nail.
Not fancying tearing my nails off over this; I went about finding a soft scraper and settled on a paint rattle can lid. When held to make the bottom oval it becomes strong enough to chip away at the transfers without being so strong it scratched the paint work.
For the first couple I used WD40 to soften the adhesive but it didn't make allot of difference and seemed to make the scraper skip over the transfers so did the rest dry.
After allot of scraping I used household polish to lift any residual glue by leaving it on there for 10 minutes then buffing it off.
Now with the bike back to its original looks things were looking better.
I'm a bit of a bike anorak and one of the big draws for the VFR line is my love for the VFR750 RC45.
Despite the VFR800 having 50 more cubes, it shares the most with the RC45 of any previous VFR and being the RC46 itself it only brings the relationship closer.
As I'm never likely to own one of these RC45's, The closest I am ever likely to get looks wise will be when I finally break and buy a VFR400 NC35 but for now my 800 is getting a small nod to her racing Uncle.

That, for me, is sufficient reason to put some 'force V4' stickers on her. Subtle enough that it won't look silly and still relevant to the bike I am riding.
I picked up some nice replicas from an eBay seller who after I explained what I wanted made some up for me.I cleaned the area the stickers were set to go, dried it off and applied the transfers. I then applied a thin coat of lacquer and T cut it in to keep the finish even.
I think they look like they belong there, the ebay shop selling them seems to agree as they are now using this image in their shop.
I'm pretty sure the bike is a little faster and more responsive for this mod.
The force (V4) is strong in this one.
